After Graduating from the prestigious Brooks Institute of Photography, Burman worked extensively as a freelance assistant with renowned international names such as Steven Klein and Mark Seliger in New York and Los Angeles.
After 5 years of training under some of the best lensmen, he started shooting on his own in New York and shot several editorials and catalogues with various publications and brands. India's progress in early 2008 inspired him to move back in May, that year and start photographing portraiture extensively with Vogue India. From then on it has been a spectacular journey. In the past 3 years, Burman has photographed for most of the leading magazines and brands in the country. Burman has also photographed some of the most renowned faces in Indian cinema and continues to enjoy the process of creating a great blend of art and commerce.
